Terrie's life has revolved around the visual and performing arts. She met her husband, Chuck Corbett, during a rehearsal of the Charlotte, North Carolina Symphony Orchestra. After they were married, they spent the first 15 years of their life together in Texas where Chuck attended the University of North Texas and performed as a jazz musician in the Dallas and Houston areas. Terrie transferred from the University of Sam Houston State University, while her husband taught music theory and percussion as a member of the music faculty. They moved to Tallahassee in 1982.
Terrie is an artist liaison on the FL Committee for the National Museum of Women in the Arts, a member of the Artists' League of the FSU MoFA, and a member of the Museum for Women Artists. She has served as Artists' Representative on the Board of Directors for the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts and on the Board for the 621 Gallery.
