Since she was very young , Terrie’s life has revolved around the visual and performing arts. Her husband, Chuck Corbett, has been the biggest influence on her personal and artistic life.

She and her husband met during a rehearsal of the Charlotte (North Carolina) Symphony Orchestra. After they were married, they spent the first 15 years of their life together in Texas. Chuck performed as a jazz musician in the Dallas/Ft Worth while attending and teaching at the University of North Texas in Denton. Terrie transferred from the University of North Texas to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where she pursued her undergraduate and graduate painting studies. Chuck taught Music Theory and Percussion as a member of the music faculty there and continued performing in Houston, Texas.  

Terrie and Chuck have lived in Tallahassee, Florida since 1982. They share their home with their six cats.
